Handy Manny

Yesterday, Shaun put a pencil behind his ear and said "I'm Handy Manny" Kids come up with funny stuff.

Halloween

The boys had a great time on Halloween. Shaun was Super Why and Patrick was Wolverine.

On Thursday, Patrick had his Halloween parade at school. Then both had a party at Daycare on Friday and they got to wear their costume all day. It was a challenge trying to keep Shaun out of his costume on Saturday before trick or treating that night.

He comes home each night and puts on a costume and sometimes sleeps in it. We definitely get our monies worth out of the costumes. He is asking for an Iron Man costume for his birthday. I think then we will have all the super heroes.

Duke

RIP. Our dog, Duke, was hit by a car on 9/14/09. We didn't find out about it until a day later so by then the County had been called and picked him up. We didn't get to say goodbye but I think I am glad I didn't see him.

We all miss him especially Patrick. He keeps asking when we are going to get a new pet.

Dinner

Last night we were having Turkey and I asked Patrick to pull out a can of vegetables to have with dinner. He pulled out a can of Spaghettios. I just had to laugh. I guess the tomatoes in the sauce can qualify??

Obsessed

Shaun is obsessed with The Incredibles. We have an Incredible costume that Patrick used a few years ago. Every day when we get home he has to put it on and most nights he sleeps in it. We have to distract him so we can wash it. It is very funny. He normally wears his spiderman snow boots with it even though it is 70 degrees outside.

Star Student

Patrick was picked to be the Star Student this week in his class. We made a poster and on Friday he talked about himself to his class. Luckily both Todd and I were able to make it and see it. He did a great job!! The poster has what his three wishes are: 1 - I wish I had a mustang to drive 2- I wish I had a motorcycle and 3- I wish I had an eagle. It also has thing he likes which he put a picture of the new camaro, a monster truck and a fish since he loves to go fishing. He had to draw a picture of our family too.

Starting Out
